The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it is actually alarmed with regard to the significant variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your large number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The provider position developed for intervention ordeals a substantial influx of probable beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the sassa status check office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to empower the servicing of all consumers and increase usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
